About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide analytical leadership across the SaaS portfolio, professional services, and FinOps functions
- Establish KPIs, analytics, benchmarks, and financial insights to measure product health, services performance, engineering investment, cost-to-serve, and profitability
- Develop and maintain analytics frameworks for Cloud SaaS products and implementation/services businesses
- Establish standardized KPIs, dashboards, benchmarks, and reporting for operational, commercial, and financial performance
- Analyze ARR, revenue growth, software gross margin, customer adoption, retention, expansion, usage, bookings, ASP, discounting, and customer/product profitability
- Identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities to improve product economics and customer value
- Establish Engineering-to-Revenue and other product investment metrics
- Provide insights for product investment and portfolio prioritization
- Establish KPI definitions, calculation methodologies, data sources, and ownership across functions
- Establish internal and external benchmarks across products, regions, industries, customer segments, implementation models, and product lines
- Develop analytics for software implementation programs, including revenue, backlog, project duration, time-to-value, utilization, staffing, margin, forecast accuracy, milestones, scope changes, rework, customer readiness, and on-time delivery
- Analyze implementation economics and cost-to-serve with Services, Finance, and Product leadership
- Identify drivers of margin erosion, resource inefficiency, scope creep, delivery complexity, and recurring implementation costs
- Lead FinOps and SaaS cost management by aligning cloud infrastructure and operational costs to individual SaaS products and offerings
- Establish cost-to-serve, unit economics, and product-level profitability visibility
- Report cloud cost optimization and performance metrics
- Identify infrastructure efficiency, utilization, gross margin, and cost-reduction opportunities
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Finance, and Cloud Operations on measurable cost reductions and continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Approximately 3-5 years of similar experience, ideally in SaaS or FinOps environments
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Experience with data visualization; Power BI preferred
- Must be able to build own dashboards
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must reside in the United States
- Valid work authorization for the United States required
- No sponsorship offered
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Experience developing and managing business performance metrics, dashboards, reporting, and analytical frameworks
- Strong understanding of financial analysis and business economics, including revenue, costs, margins, profitability, forecasting, and investment performance
- Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools and multiple data sources
- Strong experience with SaaS, financial, and operational analytics
- Advanced data analysis and business intelligence capabilities
- Proficiency with SQL, Tableau/Power BI, Excel, or similar analytics platforms
- Experience with SaaS financial modeling and unit economics
- Experience with product-level P&L analysis, engineering investment metrics, professional services economics, cost-to-serve, gross margin analysis, and performance benchmarking
- Knowledge of Cloud FinOps and SaaS cost management
- Experience analyzing AWS/cloud infrastructure costs, usage and utilization, unit costs, cost allocation, and cloud optimization opportunities
