About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and maintain project cost and commercial controls, including BoQ baselines, scope changes, invoicing, cash-flow forecasting, and variation tracking
  • Monitor project costs, margins, commitments, and actual spend, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions
  • Support contract administration, including claims, change orders, payment milestones, and invoice reconciliation
  • Maintain project schedules and baselines, tracking milestones, critical paths, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies
  • Consolidate project progress data and provide forward-looking reporting to identify schedule, resource, and delivery risks
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards covering cost, progress, contract status, and overall portfolio performance
  • Automate and standardize reporting and data processes using Power Automate, Power Query, SQL, and other project control tools
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across project reporting, with appropriate reconciliation and audit controls
  • Prepare and present monthly project reviews to senior leadership, translating financial and schedule data into clear insights and recommendations
  • Partner with Project Managers, Finance, Tendering, Supply Chain, and Delivery teams while promoting consistent project controls standards and ways of working

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in commerce, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience spanning documentation control, contract financial analysis, data analysis and project services within a large engineering or industrial organization
  • Demonstrated ownership of cost, progress and contract reporting on a mega-programmed, including BoQ generation, scope-to-item analysis and tracking of invoiced, remaining and not-yet-started scope
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven experience managing cashflow and invoicing data flows in partnership with Finance, with a measurable reduction in billing disputes
  • Experience supporting operations across multiple regions
  • Microsoft Power Platform capability (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) applied to reporting and control workflows
  • Advanced Excel including VBA-based automation; working SQL proficiency for data extraction and reconciliation
  • Formal training in project scheduling and planning
  • Python for data processing, and PowerShell or VBA for supporting automation
  • Hands-on experience with EDMS platforms, transmittals and formal documentation control
  • Tableau alongside Power BI for regional reporting standardization
  • Experience in energy, power systems, data centre or industrial project environments
