About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement the overall project execution strategy based on the contract
  • Represent GE to the customer and manage the customer interface and relationship
  • Manage internal and external communication
  • Set up and secure resources for project execution
  • Organize the project team and define roles, responsibilities, interfaces, and empowerment
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators
  • Take action and make decisions to ensure financial, time, quality, and safety performance
  • Establish, implement, and monitor Project Quality and EHS Plans and procedures
  • Define claim management strategy and lead necessary actions
  • Define and update risk management plans and evaluate risks and opportunities
  • Manage the project from sales handover through completion of obligations at FAC or handover to Service Sector
  • Improve project processes and provide feedback to Sales and other business functions
  • Build, lead, coach, and evaluate the project team
  • Develop and monitor the Master Time Schedule and manage project float for timely completion

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in engineering
  • 5 to 15 years of relevant power generation industrial experience
  • 3 years of Project Director experience
  • International project execution experience
  • Large Construction (EPC) and site experience
  • Fluent in both French and English
  • Must comply with pre-employment screening, including reference verification and background check
  • Must have unrestricted Canadian work authorization
  • Hydro electric industry experience highly preferred
  • University degree in Business Administration or equivalent commercial background
  • Background in contract law, claim management, and scheduling
  • Legal and claim management Sales, Purchasing
