About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the project control activity globally and drive consistent functional specifications and common global processes for project implementation
  • Supervise, coordinate, and lead engineering activities in line with project safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost criteria
  • Manage project scope and engineering deliverables with responsible functions and disciplines
  • Manage global engineering activity schedules and coordinate follow-up of critical activities
  • Lead project execution strategy and manage internal/external outsourcing for design work packages
  • Manage engineering contractual limits and liabilities toward partners, suppliers, and customers
  • Operate within a matrix organization and ensure project objectives are achieved
  • Monitor engineering budgets, identify savings, and flag additional budget requirements
  • Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews
  • Manage scope or design changes and prepare related claims and variation orders
  • Lead design validation through customer acceptance
  • Lead technical specifications and supplier documents from RFQ to SAT
  • Own technical leadership toward customers and internal/external stakeholders
  • Enforce governance actions to manage project engineering performance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Engineering degree level or equivalent education/experience
  • Experience of Engineering activities to lead and deliver grid transmission projects in EPC type environment
  • Successful experience in project technical management in a multi-disciplinary team’s context including multiple interfaces and with products coming from several countries
  • Able to lead and excel with the teams in matrix organisation
  • Strong Knowledge of the Transmission or Distribution industry
  • Awareness and ability to comply with local regulations & customer practices in the country/area of operation
  • Ability to coordinate multi projects & remote multi-functional teams with clear communication and leadership
