About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and oversee small to medium-sized non-turnkey or product/equipment-only GIS projects
Manage the full project lifecycle to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction
Define and track project scope, schedule, and deliverables using MS Project/Primavera
Coordinate design, procurement, manufacturing, testing, SCM, production, QA/QC, and dispatch activities
Act as the primary customer contact for kick-off meetings, documentation approvals, inspections, and dispatches
Coordinate milestone billing, invoice submission, payment realization, and outstanding receivables escalation
Provide documentation and technical support to site erection and commissioning teams
Coordinate dispatch of accessories and site-specific materials and resolve erection/commissioning issues
Identify and mitigate technical, commercial, and schedule risks
Manage scope changes, customer amendments, contract compliance, and documentation
Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and customer-specific requirements
Support internal, customer, and third-party inspections
Maintain project documentation and submit regular project status reports
Ensure compliance with PMR and project closure protocols

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (Electrical preferred)
6–15 years of experience in project management in GIS or Transformer or heavy electrical equipment manufacturing
Experience in customer-facing roles is desirable
Strong leadership, planning, and coordination abilities
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Sound knowledge of Project Management Processes & Concepts
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project/Primavera, and ERP systems (SAP)
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
