About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain the project procurement execution plan
  • Align procurement milestones, supplier lead times, and logistics activities with the project master schedule and delivery objectives
  • Develop and maintain a consolidated procurement roadmap across the BTM portfolio
  • Own quality, negotiated costs, and on-time delivery of project materials and services
  • Co-own the Engineering Procurement Plan where applicable
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Sourcing to ensure timely supplier documents, including drawings and quotations
  • Own and monitor the material budget
  • Establish the procurement schedule and monitor progress periodically
  • Ensure procurement execution follows the project procurement execution plan
  • Identify and manage supply chain risks affecting critical project equipment and implement mitigation strategies
  • Follow up on timely closure of supplier-related NCPs
  • Support Sourcing in obtaining technical specifications from Engineering on time
  • Initiate and participate in periodic project meetings with Quality, Engineering, Planning, Logistics, and project management teams
  • Generate meeting notes and action items and follow up on actions
  • Review supplier fulfilment of contractual Customs and duties requirements
  • Oversee supplier claim management with the Commodity Leader or project Buyer
  • Report monthly progress, supplier claims, and project cost summaries
  • Update supplier cash out and project milestone recognition related to procurement
  • Represent Procurement in internal and external project meetings
  • Support compliance with Quality and EHS rules applicable to the sourcing function
  • Support the Project Procurement Team Leader in fulfilling overall project targets
  • Coordinate Sourcing, Procurement, and Logistics activities across a portfolio of projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a high voltage electrical construction project environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically 40% of the time
  • Must comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including overtime as required
  • Experience as Project Manager, Tender Project Manager, Senior Purchasing Manager, Senior Sourcing Manager, or Sales Project Manager
  • Good understanding of legal and contractual aspects of an EPC contract
  • Risk management knowledge
  • Ability to work efficiently in cross-functional teams
  • Negotiation skills with suppliers or customers
  • General knowledge of purchasing standards, policies, procedures, and sourcing management
  • Ability to coach and develop team members
  • Accountability, resilience, autonomy, and leadership
  • Decision-making and problem-solving ability, including independently resolving issues with difficult suppliers
  • Basics in scheduling and planning large and complex projects
  • Technical knowledge of purchased products and power plant familiarity
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
