About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary interface for the Project Procurement Team Leader
- Coordinate sourcing, procurement, and logistics activities across a portfolio of projects
- Ensure procurement commitments are met, including on-time delivery, quality, and cost
- Develop and maintain the project procurement execution plan
- Align procurement milestones, supplier lead times, and logistics activities with project schedules and delivery objectives
- Develop and maintain a consolidated procurement roadmap across the BTM portfolio
- Own quality, negotiated costs, and on-time delivery of project materials and services
- Co-own the Engineering Procurement Plan where applicable
- Coordinate with Engineering and Sourcing to obtain supplier documents on time
- Own and monitor the material budget
- Establish procurement schedules and monitor progress
- Ensure procurement execution follows the project procurement execution plan
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks affecting critical project equipment
- Follow up on timely closure of supplier-related NCPs
- Support Sourcing in obtaining engineering technical specifications on time
- Initiate and participate in periodic project meetings and track actions
- Review supplier fulfillment of contractual customs and duties requirements
- Oversee supplier claim management with the Commodity Leader/Buyer
- Report monthly progress, supplier claims, and project cost summaries
- Update supplier cash out and project milestone recognition related to procurement
- Represent procurement in internal and external project meetings
- Support compliance with Quality and EHS rules
- Support the Project Procurement Team Leader in achieving overall project targets
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in high voltage electrical construction project environment
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically 40% of the time
- Must comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule that includes overtime as required
- Experience as Project Manager, Tender Project Manager, Senior Purchasing Manager, Senior Sourcing Manager, or Sales Project Manager
- Good understanding of legal/contractual aspects of an EPC contract
- Risk management knowledge
- Ability to work efficiently in cross-functional teams
- Negotiation skills with suppliers or customers
- General knowledge of purchasing standards, policies, procedures, and sourcing management
- Ability to coach and develop team members
- Decision-making and problem-solving ability, including independently resolving issues with difficult suppliers
- Basic scheduling/planning knowledge for large and complex projects
- Technical knowledge of purchased products and power plant familiarity
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Supply Management preferred
