Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure the reliability and scalability of web applications by building robust automated testing frameworks
Oversee and guide testing of user interfaces across a web-based, data-driven engineering application
Manage the testing team and design comprehensive test strategies
Test features and small feature sets under direction from senior team members or management
Break down problems and estimate time for quality-related tasks
Apply testing types and methodologies effectively during the SDLC
Write effective tests that verify crucial functional requirements and remain valid during code refactoring
Collaborate with Quality Leaders to create test plans
Contribute to quality metrics and follow established best practices and coding patterns
Design and implement strategies for managing complex test data across multiple environments
Execute testing and use-case creation independently according to project standards
Participate in Agile, CI, software and product security, scalability, documentation, refactoring and testing practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree
Education in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience
Experience in Test Automation using Playwright and specifically writing code in Javascript and Python
Exposure in Performance testing using JMeter
Experience in API Automation testing, specifically Postman/Playwright or RestAssured alongside SOAP/REST
Strong Manual testing capabilities to derive Functional, End to End, Integration cases
Experience in executing and monitoring automated test suites with Jenkins execution
Experience in project management tools like Trello/Rally/ADO
Knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes for testing environments
Proficiency in Git/GitHub for version control and collaborative code reviews
Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and their respective testing/deployment pipelines
Solid understanding of the underlying infrastructure needed to run a large distributed web application
Ability to break down problems and estimate time for development tasks
Ability to make basic technology choices based on experience
Ability to take ownership of small tasks and deliver without supervision
Ability to communicate complex technical issues effectively to non-technical stakeholders
