About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Apply analytical methods, procedures, and techniques to solve complex problems
  • Execute analysis and design calculations supporting operating reactor cores in reload licensing and cycle management
  • Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
  • Document and communicate results of technical data generated
  • Maintain or exceed baseline project schedule and cost for nuclear fuel reload engineering deliverables
  • Share information and promote open dialogue in a matrixed team environment
  • Ensure work meets NRC rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards
  • Partner with Commercial Account Managers and interface with customer technical personnel
  • Manage reload projects across the Fuels organization
  • Engage in continuous professional development
  • Provide BWR fuel reload licensing and cycle management solutions and customer-facing deliverables, collaboration, and training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in engineering, physics, or another science field from an accredited university
  • Experience with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) technology
  • Experience with BWR core simulator and use of 3-Dimensional neutron kinetics codes
  • Programming experience with Python or C#
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information; applicable final offers are contingent on ability to obtain authorization from the U.S. Government
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
  • Detail oriented and accountable for results
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
