About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain SCADA/ADMS/DMS network models from customer GIS and asset data.
  • Run initial and incremental model imports using SCADA/ADMS/DMS model build tools.
  • Validate network connectivity, topology, phasing, and electrical parameters.
  • Identify and resolve data-quality issues with customer GIS and network teams and track them to closure.
  • Map SCADA/RTU points to model objects.
  • Build and maintain one-line, schematic, and geographic displays.
  • Prepare and validate application data for DMS functions, including load flow, FLISR, and Volt/VAR optimization.
  • Prepare and validate OMS data, including customer-to-transformer mapping, crews, and devices.
  • Support factory and site acceptance testing, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live model maintenance.
  • Train customer modeling staff to sustain the model after handover.
  • Own assigned technical deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with GE Vernova regional ADMS experts, project management, and the customer to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of ADMS network modeling and related applications.
  • Propose solutions outside set parameters with guidance and solve straightforward tasks using prior experience and on-the-job training.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Automation and Control, Industrial Computing, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in distribution network modeling, GIS, SCADA/ADMS/DMS, network planning tools, or related utility software.
  • Solid understanding of distribution network topology and equipment, including substations, feeders, switching devices, transformers, and protection devices.
  • Understanding of power system fundamentals, including load flow and phasing.
  • Hands-on experience with GIS tools and data, including ESRI ArcGIS, Smallworld or QGIS, CIM/XML, and shapefiles.
  • Comfort with SQL, Excel, or scripting for data transformation and validation.
  • Fluency in French and working proficiency in English.
  • Experience with ADMS/DMS/OMS model build tools, GE Vernova ADMS or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in software implementation, system integration, or digital services for utility or industrial customers preferred.
  • Python or SQL scripting for data processing and automation preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a data-quality mindset.
  • Ability to work methodically through large datasets.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions and regions.
  • Ability to understand and improve complex processes in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer-facing skills.
  • Experience with distribution utilities is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
