About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead end-to-end integration of complex ADMS software solutions
  • Own system architecture, testing protocols, and deployment strategies
  • Integrate, configure, and test assigned project components
  • Complete project and system documentation and assigned internal testing
  • Identify system problems and failures and research solutions
  • Coordinate with internal and external resources to resolve issues and maintain project schedules
  • Track issue resolutions and create solution documentation and troubleshooting guides
  • Provide customer workshops and training
  • Resolve customer technical or business issues
  • Provide input on project schedules, scope changes, and cost estimates
  • Perform complex custom software development tasks when requested
  • Ensure delivered systems meet technical contract requirements and quality standards
  • Provide limited marketing support for proposals and demonstrations
  • Train and mentor interns and junior staff
  • Work extended hours, carry a cell phone, and be on call when required
  • Perform other duties assigned to meet business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science plus three (3) years of development or project delivery experience
  • Four years of experience in software design, software integration and/or EMS, ADMS, or related experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in software analysis, design, methodology, implementation, and architecture
  • Strong software skills in software analysis, design, methodology, and architecture
  • Understanding of highly complex hardware and software configurations in a real-time environment
  • Ability to learn new software development practices, languages, and tools
  • Experience with enterprise software and large distributed systems
  • Experience with Windows and/or Unix, Source Code Management, and IT administration
  • Good scripting/programming and database skills
  • Experience managing and setting up Virtual Machines
  • Ability to load and configure compilers and third-party commercial and open-source products
  • Knowledge of Windows, .NET, SQL databases, Web technology integration, Web Servers, Web Services, and SOA technologies
  • Strong spoken and written English language skills
  • Experience with data extraction and conversion
  • Ability to articulate GE’s value proposition to customers
  • Understanding of customers’ needs in an industrial setting
  • Ability to identify issues and independently develop solutions
  • Software integration troubleshooting skills
  • Computer networking knowledge, including TCP/IP
  • Operating systems knowledge: Windows Desktop, Windows Server, and Linux
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Self-sufficient, self-starting, and comfortable tracking down information from multiple resources
  • General problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills
