About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the single point of contact to customers for timely and satisfactory resolution of concerns
- Provide ongoing technical and business support to assigned customers in a designated geographic region or coverage area
- Maintain knowledge of assigned regions, coverage areas, product lines, and associated configuration installations
- Coordinate with appropriate internal functions to support customers
- Influence strategy development for the area of responsibility, including resource control and policy formulation
- Interpret business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services
- Stay informed of industry trends
- Use judgment to make decisions and handle complex operational, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering tasks
- Assess information quality and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders
- Develop solutions and recommendations for problems outside set parameters
- Use internal and external sources to support decision-making
- Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and complexity
- Communicate difficult concepts and influence viewpoints on particular topics
- Guide others to consider different points of view
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or College, OR a High School Diploma/GED with an additional 4 years of experience in the power generation industry, OR an Associate degree with 2 years of experience in a power generation industry
- Minimum of 5 years of knowledge and experience within the power plant field services or contract performance management
- Willingness and ability to travel less than 25% of the time
- Qualified candidate can be located within 1–2 states from the primary location in California or Houston, TX
- Legal authorization to work in Canada for Canadian-based positions
- Legal authorization to work in the United States for this opening
- Successful completion of a background investigation
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
- Power Plant Operational/Outage and Project Management Experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Ability to lead programs/projects
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Established project management skills
