About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the engineering interface to Sales, Project Delivery, and Commercial Operations teams during proposal phases
  • Provide technical support involving design, production, availability, and performance of GEH reactor designs
  • Develop and maintain customer-facing materials, including Virtual Reality materials for the BWRX-300
  • Standardize commercial offerings and technical strategies for global BWRX-300 deployment
  • Work with Regulatory Affairs on local regulations, codes, standards, and implementation strategies
  • Advise on Division of Responsibilities, cost estimates, project schedules, site walk-downs, siting studies, and plant arrangements
  • Lead ITO-to-OTR handover to project implementation teams after contract awards
  • Represent GVH Advanced Nuclear at customer meetings and competitive bidding processes
  • Attend internal project meetings and customer negotiations
  • Interpret customer requirements to determine proper application of GEH equipment
  • Support productivity and quality initiatives
  • Ensure on-time completion of assigned proposal activities and business initiatives
  • Develop technical capabilities alongside position responsibilities
  • Identify and communicate project schedule or requirements issues early enough for resolution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in power generation industry
  • Minimum 4 years of demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently with minimal direction
  • Willingness to travel (~25%)
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information; applicable offers are contingent on ability to obtain authorization from the U.S. Government
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
  • Excellent English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Advanced engineering degree
  • Knowledge of nuclear power systems, nuclear power plants, controls, equipment and terminology
  • Knowledge of nuclear regulations and ability to interact with foreign nuclear regulatory bodies
  • Knowledge and experience with engineering and project tools, processes and software
  • Strong planning, organizing, influencing and networking skills
  • Team player and self-starter with demonstrated design creativity and problem-solving capability
  • Additional language skills (written and spoken)
  • Strong background in nuclear power plant design, application, regulations, and operation
  • Deep understanding of light water reactors (BWRX-300, ABWR, ESBWR) and sodium fast reactors (PRISM, Natrium, and Versatile Test Reactor)
  • Familiarity with international regulators and regulatory regimes
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma training/certification
  • Familiarity with operating in a global organization
