About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead proactive fleet performance management through advanced data science and machine learning
- Drive sustained product improvement across the global fleet
- Develop and implement scalable analytical initiatives
- Drive closed-loop lessons learned across the product lifecycle using large-scale industrial data
- Leverage fleet-wide data and AI-driven diagnostic tools to identify early-stage degradation patterns and enable proactive maintenance
- Develop and deploy machine learning algorithms using large-scale historical failure data
- Accelerate root cause identification and validate corrective actions through statistical modeling
- Implement and maintain automated data visualization dashboards and pipelines for fleet quality KPIs
- Monitor emerging fleet quality trends and provide real-time visibility to leadership and stakeholders
- Collaborate with performance and reliability teams to address emerging technical issues before affecting fleet availability
- Improve fleet data quality, completeness, and supporting data architecture
- Facilitate data-driven Kaizens and support action items from Quality PSR countermeasures
- Apply advanced data-centric problem-solving tools throughout root cause analysis
- Collaborate with fleet performance management, manufacturing, projects, services, and digital technology teams
- Support cross-functional data initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative STEM field
- 7+ years of professional experience in data science, predictive analytics, or a similar high-impact technical analytical role
- High proficiency in data analysis and visualization software, such as SQL, Python, R, MATLAB, PowerBI, or Tableau
- Extensive experience interpreting large, complex datasets for technical decision-making
- In-depth experience building, deploying, and monitoring production-grade machine learning models
- Understanding of predictive maintenance for complex mechanical structures
- Strong foundation in statistical quality control (SQC), probabilistic modeling, and reliability engineering metrics
- Experience with Weibull analysis and reliability growth modeling
- Experience developing data-driven action plans to mitigate fleet risks
- Familiarity with quality systems, procedure development, and technical execution
- Proven ability to communicate complex analytical findings and RCA outcomes to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with Lean tools, coaching, and facilitating process improvement events such as Kaizen
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
