About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a technical lead for the GE Vernova Wind Blade fleet
- Evolve monitoring operations from reactive troubleshooting to a proactive, standardized, and data-led reliability model
- Lead development and implementation of standardized technical rules and monitoring protocols
- Transition fragmented workflows to a unified, documented technical operating system
- Leverage fleet-wide data and AI-driven diagnostic tools to identify early-stage blade degradation
- Design and deploy predictive models to support proactive maintenance and fleet reliability
- Identify process bottlenecks and scope high-impact technical projects
- Guide data-driven decision-making to optimize daily operations
- Evaluate and enhance tools and data systems supporting the fleet
- Improve data quality, completeness, and underlying infrastructure for robust, automated fleet analysis
- Provide technical insights and guidance to the team
- Create formalized technical playbooks and best practices
- Collaborate with fleet performance, manufacturing, projects, and digital technology teams
- Drive closed-loop lessons learned across the product lifecycle
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (STEM-based) from an accredited university or college
- 10+ years of professional experience in wind turbine fleet monitoring, blade engineering, fleet management, or reliability engineering
- Strong expertise in data analysis and visualization tools, such as SQL, Python, R, MATLAB, PowerBI, or Tableau
- Experience interpreting large, complex datasets for technical decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain technical procedures, training documentation, and quality systems
- Experience in Lean methodologies or Kaizen facilitation is highly preferred
- Strong foundation in statistical quality control (SQC) and reliability engineering metrics, such as Weibull analysis and reliability growth modeling
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and mentor team members in technical disciplines
- Exceptional communication skills to translate complex analytical outcomes into actionable fleet strategies
- Proven ability to work effectively in a globally focused, culturally diverse, and matrixed organizational environment
- Ability to travel globally approximately 10% of the time
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
