About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical support for fielded GE Vernova Gas Turbines
Solve technical Hot Gas Path issues at customer sites
Perform daily technical troubleshooting and recommendations
Conduct complex Root Cause Analyses with long-term business implications
Engineer support for installed Gas Turbine Hot Gas Path systems
Collaborate with commercial, design, customer, Field Services, and development teams
Develop accurate, quality, and timely engineering solutions
Support Field Services teams during planned outages
Prepare technical presentations for customers and senior leadership
Develop Technical Information Letters and Engineering Technical Communications
Apply engineering tools and skills to investigate field failures
Maintain internal relationships and interface with internal and external suppliers
Identify cost-effective solutions meeting customer requests
Travel to customer locations for outages and technical review meetings
Support introduction of new products
Participate in Lean Action Workouts and lead Kaizen projects
Improve Product Service processes and support continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science Engineering, or related engineering field from an accredited college or university
8 years of experience in Design, Repair, Testing, Manufacturing, Operation, or Maintenance of Gas Turbine HGP systems
Ability to travel globally to customer GT sites and offices
Ability and willingness to support off-hours occasionally
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and drive projects to completion
Demonstrated leadership in adverse conditions or situations
Clear and effective communication with all organizational levels and customers
Ability to work effectively with different cultures
Prior experience in a customer support / customer-facing role
Initiative and interpersonal skills to direct cross-functional projects
Ability and desire to identify and implement continuous process improvements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong team building and relationship-building skills
Understanding of business objectives
Demonstrated project management skills
Ability to remain calm and develop and execute plans in challenging, safety-related, or high-cost situations
10+ years of Gas Turbine HGP experience is desired
