About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and develop a team of software developers
- Provide day-to-day oversight, performance management, career development, and resource allocation
- Own team capacity planning and staffing decisions
- Match developer skills to project needs and communicate availability and utilization to leadership and stakeholders
- Drive integrated tools strategy and roadmap development
- Partner with engineers, designers, and end users to evolve engineering tools cohesively
- Implement and enforce best practices, including code reviews, documentation standards, and modern development workflows
- Identify and pursue training opportunities through formal training, certifications, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Serve as primary point of contact for stakeholder communication
- Manage status updates, escalations, and cross-functional collaboration
- Define team KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to lean and agile practices to optimize delivery and reduce waste
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering or analytical role
- Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if applicable
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Background in programming with knowledge of different programming languages
- Experience with FEA and/or CFD desired
- Experience with Agile/Scrum
- Established project management skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
