About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Take overall accountability for project delivery, ensuring contractual, technical, financial, schedule, quality and customer requirements are achieved
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across engineering, procurement, supply, construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and manage project priorities, interfaces and contractual obligations
  • Monitor, optimise and report key project operational and financial indicators
  • Lead project risk and opportunity management throughout the project lifecycle
  • Maintain oversight of project financial performance, including cost, forecasting, cash, resource utilisation and overall project financial status
  • Manage project scope and interfaces between functions, suppliers, contractors and delivery partners
  • Drive schedule performance and manage project activities and deliverables
  • Identify schedule, cost and delivery deviations and lead recovery and mitigation actions
  • Support contractual change management, claims, settlements and commercial issue resolution
  • Manage contractual obligations and support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement
  • Promote and reinforce EHS culture across project activities
  • Represent GE Vernova on project-related EHS, contractual, customer or other matters
  • Support tender validation by reviewing delivery models, commitments, execution assumptions, risks and opportunities
  • Provide leadership across large and complex project organisations and drive accountability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Engineering degree or equivalent relevant technical qualification or experience
  • Significant experience leading large and complex EPC, turnkey or infrastructure projects within the energy, power transmission or a comparable engineering environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects across multiple phases of the EPC lifecycle, including engineering, procurement/supply, construction, installation and commissioning
  • Proven ability to lead high-value projects with significant technical, commercial, contractual and organisational complexity
  • Strong understanding of project financial management, including cost control, forecasting, risk and opportunity management and overall financial performance
  • Experience managing contractual interfaces, project changes, claims and commercial risks
  • Proven ability to lead and influence large multidisciplinary and cross-functional project teams
  • Experience working in international and/or multi-stakeholder project environments
  • Strong customer and stakeholder management capability
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience within high-voltage transmission, AC substations, FACTS, grid infrastructure or related power-sector projects
  • Experience delivering projects with significant construction, installation and commissioning scope
  • Experience managing complex supplier, subcontractor or consortium interfaces
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of turnkey project execution models
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organisation and influence stakeholders across multiple functions and levels
  • Experience working within international project environments and managing significant local project content
