About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coach, drive, and lead lean behaviors, principles, and tools across an operational or functional area
- Drive cultural transformation resulting in step-change improvements in operational business metrics
- Architect and execute the Engineer 2030 Talent & Skills workstream
- Build engineering-specific talent and skills solutions and drive adoption across businesses
- Apply AI-enabled workforce intelligence tools to improve engineering capability decisions
- Own stakeholder alignment with executive workstream sponsors
- Develop a forward-looking engineering workforce strategy
- Recommend where to build, buy, or deploy technology to close skills gaps
- Translate demand signals, attrition risk, and pipeline data into workforce decisions
- Design and deploy an enterprise engineering capability review connecting skills gaps, succession planning, and internal mobility
- Lead structured kaizen events to build and sustain the review framework
- Use workforce analytics, AI-enabled talent intelligence platforms, skills inference tools, and external market data to analyze engineering skills
- Identify critical capabilities, future skills, workforce risks, deployment opportunities, and development priorities
- Inform external talent strategy, sourcing approaches, university partnerships, and early-career talent pipelines
- Lead the Edison program and other assigned engineering development programs
- Evolve curriculum, scope, and strategic alignment with Engineer 2030 priorities
- Connect the Talent & Skills workstream with the four other Engineer 2030 workstreams
- Lead weekly operating cadence and provide monthly operating review updates to executive sponsors
- Build alignment across engineering, transformation, talent intelligence, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning and Development, and HR
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM major or similar field
- For USA roles, minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in engineering, technology, or another deeply technical field
- For roles outside the USA, significant years of progressive experience in engineering, technology, or another deeply technical field
- Proven ability to lead structured problem-solving, including kaizen events, root cause analysis, and process design
- Track record translating business strategy into workforce capability frameworks, skills architectures, or talent pipeline strategies
- Strong data fluency, including building and interpreting workforce intelligence models and converting findings into strategic recommendations
- Experience leading without direct authority across business units in a matrixed global organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate within enterprise governance while adapting solutions to specialized technical populations
- GE Vernova will only employ candidates legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening

- Desired: Experience applying Lean tools including kaizen, daily management, standard work, VSM, and 5S

- Desired: Understanding of technical expert career architecture programs and deep-domain workforce management complexities
