About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive strategic deployment of corrective actions across NPI, New Unit, I&C, and fleet implementation
- Own the Cost of Poor Quality target for Aeroderivative tied to systemic product quality issues
- Develop, implement, and champion programs focused on reducing COPQ across enabling functions including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Poles
- Drive improvement in processes across NPI Value Streams
- Drive NPI toll gate processes for business and fleet improvements
- Monitor I&C schedules and collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes
- Implement long-term action plans addressing product quality issues
- Develop and lead repair and industrialization strategies for products
- Drive customization, modification and upgrade campaigns and develop new NPI upgrades
- Partner with product line managers and product service engineering to initiate RAM programs addressing fleet issues
- Ensure services operations forecasts parts for critical service bulletins based on regional events outlook
- Harness fleet event data, borescope inspection reports, and depot reports to identify product reliability and quality improvements
- Feed fleet intelligence into outage forecasting
- Manage customer communication for product fleet issues
- Report on quality workstreams during product value stream Monthly Operating Rhythms
- Report to the LMS100 Product Management Leader and drive strategic integration of business and fleet programs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business-related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience on Gas Turbine Technology or similar industry
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a leadership role within a product line, engineering, services or program/project management
- Prior experience in or working with services operational and execution teams preferred
- Effective team building and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to “blue sky” – to solve problems, creativity
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including executive level presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization
- Experience working in a global environment
- Knowledge and understanding of Product line technology and processes is a distinct advantage
- Strong change agent with particular focus on executing efficiently in a complex, diverse and dynamic cross-functional global team
- Outstanding technical, business and financial analysis skills
- Deep knowledge of the power generation marketplace
- Demonstrated ability in leadership and influence, strategy
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
