About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish the strategic governance and financial integrity framework for a project portfolio encompassing facility modernization and commercial fuel reloads
  • Drive the transition to a system-driven ecosystem
  • Provide predictive forecasting and a “Single Source of Truth” to safeguard project margins and support long-term business growth
  • Influence broader PMO strategy, including resource optimization and policies governing project data capture and reporting
  • Interpret complex internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve project delivery and financial transparency
  • Monitor industry trends in project governance and digital transformation
  • Manage complex tasks involving operational, financial, and engineering data
  • Assess stakeholder-provided information and validate project forecast integrity
  • Construct data-driven recommendations supporting long-term business objectives
  • Develop solutions for capacity modeling and financial risk mitigation
  • Provide an objective view of project health and balance resource allocation against commercial commitments
  • Lead functional teams or high-impact projects
  • Deliver transparent and predictive metrics
  • Communicate financial variances and schedule constraints and influence stakeholder alignment
  • Guide integrated decision-making that prioritizes overall business health

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Engineering
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in Project Controls, Finance, or Operations within a high-complexity, highly regulated manufacturing or technology environment
  • Experience in environments such as Nuclear, Aerospace, Defense, or Energy
  • Experience managing the financial integrity of large-scale portfolios or contracts
  • Deep proficiency in cost accounting, margin analysis, forward-looking financial modeling, and Estimates-at-Completion (EACs)
  • Ability to distill complex operational and financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior executive leadership and external stakeholders
  • Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if applicable
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Established project management skills
  • Ability to travel to Wilmington, NC, and/or other business locations up to 25% of the time
