About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage deployment and execution projects supporting GE Vernova's small modular reactors (SMR)
- Support the Project Director in planning and executing contracts for SMR design and construction projects around the world
- Deliver projects on time while managing profit and loss accountability and customer satisfaction
- Maintain the Project Risk Register to communicate and mitigate project risks
- Participate in and support customer, internal, and supplier project kickoff meetings
- Assist with organizing project cost structure in Oracle ERP
- Develop and maintain a project roster and monitor completion of project-related training
- Develop and issue the Project Work Plan, related project plans, and project procedures
- Facilitate implementation of project plans and procedures across the project team
- Administer and configure project documentation
- Ensure compliance with U.S. export control and other applicable requirements
- Support development and deployment of project infrastructure and tools
- Coordinate project activities and monitor progress on deliverables
- Organize and archive project correspondence and records
- Ensure project deliverables conform to contract and project requirements
- Lead, draft, and issue project management meeting notes, action item lists, and progress reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management
- Minimum 3 years managing medium- to large-scale projects with multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
- Highly qualified U.S. remote eligible candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government, if applicable
- Desired: Master's Degree in Engineering or Master of Business Administration
- Desired: PMP Certification
- Desired: Nuclear power industry experience in operations or engineering
- Desired: Familiarity with nuclear construction practices and Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) design
- Desired: Experience with commercial negotiations
- Desired: Experience working in a matrixed environment
- Well-developed planning and organizational skills
