About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop the Risk Management Plan for large-scale EPC projects involving Small Modular Reactors
- Lead risk management activities within Advanced Nuclear
- Lead and manage risk and opportunity identification, discussion, mitigation actions, follow-up, and problem solving throughout the project life cycle
- Drive daily risk management routines, operational risk reviews, performance tracking, and structured problem solving
- Perform detailed data analysis, operational reviews, and senior leadership communication
- Enable cross-functional alignment with Project Management, PMO, functional teams, and stakeholders
- Serve as the expert and primary Risk Management point of contact within the project team
- Benchmark internal and external risk management processes and best practices
- Refine and improve processes, KPIs, and communication rhythms
- Support leaders in resolving bottlenecks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science from an accredited university or college
- Proficient in industry-standard tools for planning and quantitative risk analysis involving Monte Carlo simulations, such as P6, SAFRAN, or equivalent
- At least 8–10 years of relevant work experience
- At least 3 years of risk management or project controls experience
- Solid understanding of power project life cycles, project risk management principles, and relevant technical, financial, and contract terms
- Ability to handle many complex issues/projects concurrently
- Willingness and ability to travel globally 20% of the time
- Demonstrated leadership in a matrix environment
- P6 and Microsoft Suite proficiency
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strategic thinking and innovative problem-solving ability
- Project controls management, contract management, or risk management experience
- Project/construction management experience in the power industry
- Technical knowledge of commercial nuclear reactors and associated systems
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must satisfy applicable U.S. Export Control Laws citizenship requirements
- Successful completion of a background investigation required for employment
