About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain material and special process specifications for nondestructive test methods and procedures
- Work with suppliers to interpret specifications/standards and optimize production methods/techniques
- Evaluate the use of automatic and AI systems for NDT
- Review supplier and service provider NDT procedures and techniques to ensure compliance with codes, standards and specifications
- Support service and RCA projects through NDT process development for field inspection and validation
- Interface with service teams and third parties to develop field procedures and review results
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and standard work
- Identify technology development opportunities for growth and investment
Requirements
What you’ll need- For roles outside of the USA: Significant experience in NDT methods including UT, Eddy Current, MPI, phased array; demonstrated proficiency in advanced techniques
- For roles in USA: Master's degree from an accredited university or college or at least 20 years of experience in these methods
- Ability and willingness to travel 30% or more as needed domestically and globally
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Welding experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Demonstrated ability to lead and document programs / projects
- Experience working with suppliers and equipment manufacturers
