About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain material and special process specifications for nondestructive test methods and procedures
  • Work with suppliers to interpret specifications/standards and optimize production methods/techniques
  • Evaluate the use of automatic and AI systems for NDT
  • Review supplier and service provider NDT procedures and techniques for compliance with codes, standards, and specifications
  • Support service and RCA projects, including NDT process development for field inspection and validation
  • Interface with service teams and third parties to develop field procedures and review results
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and standard work
  • Identify technology development opportunities for growth and investment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • For roles outside of the USA: Significant experience in NDT methods including UT, Eddy Current, MPI, phased array
  • Demonstrated proficiency in advanced NDT techniques
  • For roles in USA: Master's degree from an accredited university or college or at least 20 years of experience in these methods
  • Ability and willingness to travel 30% or more as needed domestically and globally
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Welding experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and document programs/projects
  • Experience working with suppliers and equipment manufacturers
