Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a portfolio of global wind-turbine controls, SCADA, power-up, commissioning, modeling, customization, modification, and upgrade projects
  • Lead project teams in defining and executing objectives, scope, milestones, deliverables, schedules, and resource requirements
  • Drive projects from commercial handoff through engineering definition, implementation, commissioning, and final delivery
  • Coordinate multiple simultaneous projects while balancing priorities, resources, customer commitments, and business objectives
  • Establish ownership, accountability, and deliverables across project teams
  • Monitor project performance and address schedule, resource, technical, commercial, and quality issues
  • Lead a global team of project managers
  • Balance resources and identify staffing or capability gaps
  • Develop team capabilities through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and knowledge sharing
  • Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables
  • Lead project reviews, corrective actions, decision-making, and issue resolution
  • Manage dependencies across controls software, SCADA, modeling, testing, commissioning, and field activities
  • Serve as escalation point for internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead status meetings and communicate progress, risks, decisions, and actions
  • Establish risk registers and mitigation plans
  • Manage changes to project scope, requirements, schedules, and deliverables
  • Own overall project delivery and establish recovery plans when milestones are at risk
  • Coordinate office-based engineering teams with field and commissioning organizations
  • Provide project-level technical leadership and facilitate technical decisions
  • Ensure technical solutions are tested, validated, documented, and released
  • Support project budgets, forecasts, resource plans, cost monitoring, and commercial activities
  • Establish and improve standardized project-management processes, best practices, reporting standards, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Drive standardization, scalability, lessons learned, and continuous improvement across global engineering organizations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex engineering or technology projects
  • Ability and willingness to travel 20% internationally as required
  • Strong project-management skills, including scope, schedule, resource, risk, change, and stakeholder management
  • Experience managing multiple projects or a project portfolio simultaneously
  • Experience in wind energy, renewable energy, industrial automation, controls, SCADA, power systems, or a comparable technical industry
  • Strong understanding of engineering development and software/project delivery processes
  • Excellent communication, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and senior business leadership
  • PMP or equivalent project-management certification
  • Experience with wind-turbine controls, SCADA, commissioning, power-up, or turbine modeling
  • Experience managing customer-facing engineering projects
  • Experience with project financial management, forecasting, and resource planning
  • Experience implementing project-management processes across global organizations
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
