About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead DevSecOps implementation of GE Vernova Grid Software products at customer sites
- Collaborate with customers to define end-to-end DevSecOps processes
- Deliver products to customer environments using CI/CD and DevOps principles
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, repeatable Customer Reference Environments
- Develop and manage infrastructure automation and configuration management using Ansible
- Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub
- Manage artifact storage, versioning, and release promotion using Artifactory
- Build deep knowledge of GE Vernova products across performance and GridOS
- Partner with engineering, product, support, and services teams on environment setup, upgrades, patching, and maintenance
- Monitor environment health, troubleshoot deployment and infrastructure issues, and drive root-cause resolution
- Implement and enforce DevOps best practices for source control, automation, release management, and system reliability
- Create standards, templates, runbooks, and reusable automation assets
- Identify opportunities to improve provisioning, operational efficiency, resiliency, and customer experience
- Participate in readiness planning for new customer deployments and align environments with security, compliance, and supportability expectations
- Evaluate technology, advise on buy-versus-build decisions, and assess ROI, SWOT, and gap analyses
- Mentor others, remove project obstacles, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical strategy and solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM majors
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience in infrastructure automation and DevOps engineering
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management and infrastructure automation
- Proficiency with container orchestration using Kubernetes
- Demonstrated experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes on RKE2 (Rancher) is a plus
