About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute blade repair operational changes and develop tooling to reduce cycle time and costs
  • Identify and develop programs to reduce time to return units to service
  • Partner with Program Management and Product Line to guide design decisions for current and new products and commercial deals
  • Lead technical program teams on system trade-offs and optimizations focused on reducing Services costs
  • Analyze, prepare, and present technical material to internal and external audiences
  • Lead Services investments from pre-conceptual design through design, validation, and launch
  • Prioritize and manage risks related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Contribute to the Multigeneration Engineering Plan for Services
  • Improve operations through cycle time reduction, tool development, and process improvements
  • Manage program requirements and requirement flow down
  • Work with Systems Leaders to leverage lessons learned, best practices, process improvements, and standard work
  • Support and improve availability and serviceability of the existing wind turbine fleet
  • Contribute to new and existing design practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years of significant experience in Engineering/Technology
  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience working on wind turbine system and/or services related projects
  • Ability to break down complex issues, determine possible courses of action, and enable effective decision making
  • System or product-level mindset
  • Conceptual design and/or system-level trade-off experience
  • Wind turbine experience in design, installation, operation, maintenance or repairs
  • Requirements definition, decomposition, and/or translation experience
  • Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
