About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report to the Service Director and build long-term customer relationships
- Lead a multi-site wind service hub and manage daily hub operations
- Manage turbine output and prioritize turbine performance to meet or exceed commitments
- Manage staffing requirements, coaching, training, corrective action, and succession planning for employees and contracted partners
- Own the hub safety culture, including contracted partners and customers
- Execute daily Plan of the Day calls and manage dispatch schedules
- Serve as the customer point of contact and meet contractual requirements
- Escalate customer concerns with the Customer Performance Manager
- Partner with Sales, Commercial Operations, Sourcing, Finance, and HR to meet deliverables
- Lead operations across multiple sites, including weekly visits to each site
- Drive safety focus, team engagement, development, and continuous customer relationship growth
- Apply creative problem solving and LEAN thinking to facility operations
- Manage service and maintenance activities, including preventive and remedial maintenance, repairs, refurbishments, facility management, and field services engineering
- Perform operational planning and execution with autonomy under established policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, inclusive of leadership
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a field services or equivalent role in the energy industry
- Ability and willingness to travel within the hub, which may require overnights
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license
- Ability and willingness to enter a military site by passing a background check
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is desired
- Technical Certification in Wind Energy or Electrical/Electronic field is desired
- Advanced computer skills using word and spreadsheet processing, email programs, facility control and management systems, and computer diagnostic and troubleshooting tools
- Wind turbine or energy industry experience
- Advanced electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic experience, including use of hydraulic power tools
- Experience with heavy equipment required for facility maintenance, with working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements
- Comprehensive writing skills to meet contractual reporting obligations
- Strong functional knowledge of operations and maintenance best practices, planning, organizing, coordinating, executing, and controlling wind hub activities, productivity improvements, and outage management
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, adaptability, initiative, and collaboration skills
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
