About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the end-to-end site lifecycle, from initial tender to final commissioning
  • Coordinate site scheduling, estimate installation costs, and plan infrastructure requirements during the tender phase
  • Manage mobilization of site teams and oversee construction progress
  • Ensure the Construction Operating Rhythm is applied consistently across project sites
  • Manage Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and proactively manage risks
  • Perform quality inspections and ensure contractors meet performance and safety benchmarks
  • Coordinate communication between design offices and site teams
  • Provide accurate and timely progress reporting to stakeholders
  • Manage site budgets and staffing plans
  • Ensure technical solutions are delivered safely, on time, and to high quality standards
  • Mentor team members and manage complex contractor relationships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Substantive experience as a Site or Construction Manager, ideally within an electrical engineering environment
  • Working knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM 2015)
  • Familiarity with installation and commissioning of electrical equipment, such as switchgear, transformers, or rotating machines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management software
  • Relevant safety certification, such as NEBOSH for Construction (or similar)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel frequently to project sites across the UK and Ireland
  • Significant, relevant hands-on experience in site operations for large-scale electrical installations
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering is beneficial
