About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary point of contact for the end-to-end site lifecycle, from initial tender to final commissioning
- Coordinate site scheduling, estimate installation costs, and plan infrastructure requirements during the tender phase
- Manage mobilization of site teams and oversee construction progress
- Ensure the Construction Operating Rhythm is consistently applied across project sites
- Uphold Health, Safety, and Environmental standards
- Proactively manage risks and perform quality inspections
- Ensure contractors meet performance and safety benchmarks
- Bridge design offices and site teams to ensure efficient data flow
- Provide accurate and timely progress reporting to stakeholders
- Manage site budgets and staffing plans
- Deliver technical solutions safely, on time, and to high quality standards
- Mentor team members and manage complex contractor relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- Substantive experience as a Site or Construction Manager, ideally within an electrical engineering environment
- Working knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM 2015)
- Familiarity with installation and commissioning of electrical equipment, such as switchgear, transformers, or rotating machines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management software
- Relevant safety certification, such as NEBOSH for Construction or similar
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel frequently to project sites across the UK and Ireland
- A degree in Electrical Engineering is beneficial, but not required; significant relevant hands-on experience is valued equally
