About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Communicate the value of Grid Software to prospective and existing customers through discovery sessions and solution development
Manage customer specification reviews
Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs)
Develop budgetary proposals to support sales inquiries
Drive integration between Sales, Commercial, Product Management, and Customer Solution Advisory teams
Ensure technical and commercial strategies are accurately reflected in proposals
Support efficient execution of winning proposals by Project Delivery
Support product demonstrations
Defend proposals and influence Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
Shape product roadmaps
Develop and use new tools, processes, and standard work packages
Apply Lean tools and thinking to improve organizational efficiency, accuracy, and customer focus
Serve as a key Asset Control SME for Transmission and Distribution systems
Work with Commercial Managers, Sales Managers, Product Managers, and Customer Service Advisory/delivery teams to drive market wins
Stay current with product capabilities and documentation
Manage proposal development and SOW creation for complex software sales and service agreements
Establish accurate estimates and schedules in collaboration with other SMEs
Act as technical team lead on assigned opportunities
Apply Lean principles, support problem-solving, and use daily management
Participate in customer negotiations from functional/technical and commercial perspectives
Collaborate with Product Management to define product requirements and vision
Support the AMERICAS region, with occasional support for opportunities in other regions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 7 years of technical or project management experience
Experience with EMS, SCADA, and/or ADMS in Engineering (R&D) or Project Delivery
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; sponsorship is provided
Must be willing to travel
Must be able to report to a GE Vernova office 2–3 days per week
Background in software with expertise in EMS, DMS, OMS, ADMS, or related applications
Prior experience in software development, implementation, or project delivery
Strong project management, verbal, written, and presentation skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to thrive in a matrix organization
Familiarity with SCADA, Energy Management Systems (EMS), Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS), and/or Outage Management Systems (OMS)
Proven track record of delivering results and leading teams in a dynamic business environment
Strong customer-focus mindset and willingness to meet tight deadlines
Proven ability to influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus-building
Ability to work collaboratively across teams
Enthusiasm for trying new things and comfort operating in the unknown
