About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advise customers on the full Grid Automation portfolio, particularly Digital Control Systems, cybersecurity, patch management, and IED asset management
- Represent GE Vernova to customers as a technology and business partner
- Independently analyze and resolve customer inquiries
- Support the Commercial and Sales organizations with technical solutions, product presentations, technical negotiations, and formal proposals
- Take technical ownership of assigned tenders, from solution architecture through compliance verification
- Drive competitive, compliant proposals throughout the entire bidding process
- Participate in trade shows, seminars, and conferences as required
- Support commercial teams in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland on technical Grid Automation topics
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, power engineering, automation engineering, or a comparable technical field; alternatively, completed vocational advanced training as an electrical engineering technician or master craftsperson, or in a related technical field
- Strong knowledge of power system protection and/or Substation Control Systems in transmission and distribution networks
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity and software environments (DCS / SCADA / remote access)
- Working knowledge of power system protection, substation automation, and telecontrol technology (RTUs) to support customers in selecting and implementing suitable solutions
- Very good written and spoken German and English
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
- Experience with IEC 61850-based substation automation solutions is preferred
- Experience with network protocols, HMI systems, and relevant software packages
