About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership and technical direction for the Project Engineering team
  • Lead engineering execution of new wind farm, repower, and CM&U projects
  • Serve as the primary liaison and single point of contact between engineering, project management, supply chain, site teams, customers, and subcontractors
  • Ensure fulfillment of equipment and software deliverables and completeness and accuracy of the digital thread through commercial operation date
  • Support resource assignments, strategic workforce planning, daily management, operating rhythms, and team strategy
  • Ensure customer orders comply with contractual requirements
  • Provide technical project management and direction
  • Coordinate engineering activities and resolve critical OTR-related issues
  • Translate project requirements into product definitions and issue bills of materials to supply chain
  • Create or facilitate project-specific engineering instructions and customer and commissioning documentation
  • Respond to customer and field-team technical inquiries through final customer acceptance of the wind farm
  • Provide technical leadership, advice, and assistance to project teams
  • Drive process standardization and improvement around project execution
  • Lead process improvement efforts for GE Vernova’s project engineering
  • Feed lessons learned back into design engineering organizations
  • Liaise with customers and Engineering regarding balance-of-plant equipment, interfaces, safety protections, and control systems
  • Facilitate control software and parameter configuration based on site requirements and unit configurations
  • Coordinate, schedule, and communicate with allocated resources to complete engineering deliverables

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science or related field
  • 8+ years' engineering and technology experience, including strong demonstration of technical skills and project leadership
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability and availability to travel 10% of the year
  • Experience in power generation, renewable energy or wind technologies
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
  • Customer-centric mindset and experience translating customer issues or needs into profitable business solutions
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks
  • System or product-level mindset
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements and identify needs
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with grid, controls, or SCADA is a plus
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics, and 3D models
  • Experience providing technical support regarding technical issues and project status
  • Effective problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated team player with demonstrated creativity and fulfillment
  • Strong influencing and team-building skills
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
