About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the technical direction of the team responsible for combustion components.
  • Evaluate and determine the acceptability of complex nonconformities, acting as the decision-making authority.
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications and the application of Engineering standards across the DLE team’s activities.
  • Analyze, unblock, and resolve the most complex technical issues.
  • Work closely with engineering teams, suppliers, and manufacturing sites to ensure component safety, quality, and availability.
  • Maintain technology watch to identify innovations in manufacturing processes.
  • Support and train other engineers on the team in addressing technical challenges related to the manufacture of gas turbine combustion components.
  • Capture and share technical expertise while developing the team’s technical capabilities.
  • Implement actions to improve and maintain the team’s skills.
  • Provide regular updates on the team’s activities and achievements.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in a Production or Engineering environment.
  • Proven technical expertise in the design and manufacture of combustion components for gas turbines.
  • Ability to share experience and knowledge and to develop the skills and performance of a technical team.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills across multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent ability to collaborate with a wide range of contacts.
  • Rigor and a strong sense of responsibility in managing quality and safety issues.
  • Ability to work directly in the field.
  • Proactive approach and ability to make recommendations.
  • Very good command of English—written, spoken, and read—including technical terminology related to gas turbines.
