About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance service
- Provide emergency/unscheduled equipment repairs and perform scheduled maintenance repairs
- Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines
- Train customers’ operators and maintenance personnel
- Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules
- Travel extensively to customer locations and service sites
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 years hands-on technical experience on electro-mechanical systems as applied to state-of-the-art industrial machinery
- Experience with vacuum systems and packaging equipment, high speed vacuum and gassing applications, and thermoforming plastics with FFS applications REQUIRED
- Experience with installation and commissioning of complete production lines and packaging systems equipment
- Strong electrical aptitude, including motors, AC & servo drives, electrical circuitry, PLC and PC based control systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude including power transmission systems, pneumatics and hydraulics
- Experienced troubleshooter on electro-mechanical systems
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English
- Strong customer service orientation
- Able to multi-task and work under extreme pressure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and highly organized
- Must be able to work independently
- Excellent computer literacy, including MS Word and Excel
- Able to travel extensively, up to 90%, including weekends and on short notice; some travel may be for extended periods up to 2 weeks
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
