About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle and resolve incidents and service requests in Second-Level Support
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues
- Support First-Level Support with complex IT incidents
- Install, configure, and administer workstations, notebooks, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment
- Administer and support Windows client systems and standard software
- Manage users and permissions in Microsoft Active Directory
- Support and assist users in the clinical environment and conduct user training
- Install, configure, and support specialized medical and administrative applications
- Document incidents, solutions, and workflows in the ticketing system
- Contribute to IT projects and the implementation of new hardware and software solutions
- Collaborate with external service providers and software vendors
- Ensure smooth IT operations and continuously optimize support processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed degree in Computer Science, completed IT-related vocational training, e.g., as an IT Specialist, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in IT support, ideally in Second-Level Support or a comparable role
- Experience in healthcare or a clinical environment is preferred
- Solid knowledge of administering and supporting Microsoft Windows client systems and Microsoft 365
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), and user, access rights, and permissions management
- Basic to good knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4, VLAN, DNS, and DHCP
- Knowledge of VMware, Citrix, Microsoft Exchange, and remote support and remote management solutions is preferred
- Experience working with IT ticketing systems
- Knowledge of hardware and software management as well as client lifecycle management
- Independent, reliable, and conscientious approach to work
- Analytical, solution-oriented mindset, quick comprehension, and a high degree of flexibility
- Strong service and user focus, along with good communication and teamwork skills
- Friendly, professional, and confident demeanor; ability to maintain an overview in demanding support situations
