About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own a portfolio of Higher Education partners across the UK and internationally
  • Manage partner success, retention and growth from day-to-day relationship management through renewals and expansion
  • Build trusted, multi-threaded relationships from day-to-day users to senior sponsors
  • Develop success plans and account strategies tied to meaningful outcomes
  • Monitor partner health, risk and opportunities
  • Own renewals from early planning through agreement
  • Identify and lead expansion opportunities from discovery through negotiation and close
  • Carry renewal and expansion targets and maintain an accurate pipeline
  • Run account reviews connecting partner outcomes to future opportunities
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce records
  • Visit university partners regularly on campus across the UK
  • Represent Gecko at Higher Education conferences, exhibitions and partner events
  • Travel internationally, including to the US, as required
  • Act as the main point of contact and own issues through resolution
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Product, Support and Enablement teams
  • Deliver demos, account reviews, presentations and commercial conversations
  • Provide support cover where required
  • Drive retention, renewals, expansion, partner adoption and face-to-face engagement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience managing customer accounts in a B2B SaaS business
  • Experience owning renewals, expansion or commercial growth
  • Experience managing complex or strategic accounts with multiple stakeholders and longer decision cycles
  • Ability to build genuine relationships while maintaining commercial focus
  • Confidence discussing pricing, value, revenue and next steps
  • Ability to uncover and properly progress opportunities
  • Ability to lead meetings, demos, executive reviews and negotiations
  • Organised and proactive approach to managing a portfolio, pipeline and regular travel
  • Ability to ask good questions, listen properly and work independently
  • Willingness to share knowledge and contribute to the wider team
  • Experience in Higher Education or EdTech useful but not essential
  • Must be UK-based
  • Must already have a valid right to work in the UK
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and internationally, including to the US
