About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage sourcing across indirect categories, benchmark suppliers, develop category strategies and identify cost-saving opportunities
Lead supplier selection, manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, payment terms, SLAs and contracts
Ensure procurement activities comply with global policies, UK regulations and internal approval processes
Maintain appropriate documentation and audit trails
Oversee purchase requisitions, purchase orders and invoice queries
Provide commercial guidance and support internal stakeholders with day-to-day procurement needs
Maintain accurate supplier and procurement data
Analyse spending and supplier performance
Produce reports to support cost optimisation and decision-making
Cover the full indirect procurement lifecycle from sourcing and negotiation through supplier management, purchasing and reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need

3–5 years' experience in indirect procurement, ideally within a multinational or fast-paced organisation
Experience within an automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier is desirable
CIPS qualification or working towards CIPS is preferred
Knowledge of ESG, sustainability and supplier compliance
Understanding of automotive supply chains
Experience using SAP, Oracle or similar ERP/procurement systems
Previous experience working within a global procurement function
