About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide reassurance and solutions to customers after an accident
- Inspect and assess vehicle damage
- Estimate vehicle repair costs
- Negotiate equitable settlements
- Partner with body shops, rental companies, and parts providers
- Consult with involved parties and review insurance contracts
- Inspect vehicles and write estimates
- Manage rental cars
- Resolve customer concerns and ensure a positive experience
- Drive customer satisfaction through meaningful interactions
- Complete 3 weeks of required hands-on training at the Ashburn, VA facility and 2 weeks at a field training center in NY, TX, or CA
- Responsible for the Syracuse, NY field territory
Requirements
What you’ll need- Customer-facing experience preferred
- Experience in high-volume call centers with KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and measurable goals preferred
- Active Adjusters license preferred; training and exam fees provided
- High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
- Valid driver’s license meeting company underwriting guidelines required
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving, and empathy skills
- Adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and multitask across platforms
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- At this time, GEICO will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position
