About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute manual and automated testing across Agile and Waterfall environments
- Validate user stories, business requirements, and acceptance criteria
- Test claims system enhancements, configuration changes, and new product features before production release
- Identify, document, track, and communicate defects, missed requirements, and business process gaps
- Analyze test results and recommend quality and risk improvements
- Design, execute, and maintain automated regression, pipeline, and end-to-end test suites
- Participate in developing and enhancing automation frameworks and testing processes
- Support maintenance and optimization of automated testing solutions
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Technology, and Business teams throughout the software development lifecycle
- Participate in BDD and TDD practices
- Coordinate and lead testing efforts across projects while tracking progress and deliverables
- Advise stakeholders on testing risks, potential impacts, and quality considerations
- Research new technologies, testing techniques, and industry best practices
- Participate in resolving testing issues and production concerns
- Promote quality-focused practices and contribute to evolving testing methodologies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with software testing and quality assurance practices
- Experience executing and maintaining automated testing solutions
- Knowledge of Agile and/or Waterfall software development methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to learn and apply complex technical and procedural information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
- 1+ years of claims and software testing experience (preferred)
- Experience with test automation, including regression and pipeline testing (preferred)
- Exposure to BDD and TDD (preferred)
- Experience testing claims platforms or insurance-related applications (preferred)
- Familiarity with business process analysis and technical testing concepts (preferred)
- ASTQB Foundation Testing Certification or ability to obtain certification within six months of hire (preferred)
