About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage system integrations within the architecture of the Workday Financial system
- Identify and implement AI-driven opportunities within Finance processes and Workday ecosystems
- Support Workday inbound and outbound integration issues
- Modify existing integrations and develop new integrations
- Collaborate cross-functionally throughout the entire software lifecycle
- Lead design sessions and code reviews with peers
- Ensure data and application accuracy and integrity through analysis, coding, documentation, and problem resolution
- Translate business and functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications
- Apply AI-based techniques to automate integration monitoring, validation, testing, and support processes
- Develop solutions leveraging AI services to improve Finance operations and user experience
- Use AI tools for troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, document generation, and operational insights
- Build AI-enabled monitoring and observability solutions for integrations
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend strategic use cases
- Mentor other members of the engineering community
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience developing new and enhancing existing Workday integrations, PRISM lineages & Accounting Center processes with financial domain
- Experience with Web Services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST and WS standards)
- Strong technical experience with XML and XLST
- Knowledge of Workday development tools (Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, BIRT)
- Experience designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining solutions for complex integrations
- Practical experience using Generative AI tools in software engineering and business processes
- Experience developing systems that are scalable, resilient, and highly available
- Experience architecting and designing new and current systems
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle
- Ability to prioritize workload and execute tasks independently, providing timely follow-up and resolution
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Ability to identify automation opportunities using AI and deliver measurable business value
- 5+ years of professional software development experience within Workday Ecosystem
- 3+ years of experience with architecture and design
- 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
- 1+ years of experience building AI-powered applications, chatbots, or intelligent agents
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
