About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Configure, maintain, and enhance Workday Talent Management functionality
  • Gather requirements from HR and business stakeholders and translate them into scalable Workday solutions
  • Support Talent Reviews, Talent Pools, Calibration Events, Career Hub, Internal Mobility, and Talent Optimization processes
  • Integrate Workday Skills capabilities into talent-related processes and workflows
  • Lead solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support
  • Provide technical expertise and thought leadership across the organization
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and user experiences
  • Develop and execute technical roadmaps
  • Ensure application quality, performance, scalability, and usability
  • Influence strategic decisions and partner across engineering teams to solve complex business challenges
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, Workday Report Writers, Integration Engineers, and Product and Engineering teams
  • Support deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Workday solutions
  • Lead testing efforts and validate business requirements
  • Evaluate operational processes and recommend improvements
  • Mentor and coach engineers
  • Foster continuous learning, innovation, and knowledge sharing
  • Adhere to company policies, operating principles, and the GEICO Code of Conduct
  • Deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing solutions
  • Meet attendance and collaboration requirements supporting business operations and team success

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of hands-on Workday Talent Management configuration experience
  • Experience configuring and supporting Talent Reviews, Talent Pools, Calibration Events, Career Hub, Internal Mobility, and Talent Optimization
  • Experience integrating Skills functionality into Workday Talent processes
  • Experience managing both annual talent cycles and standalone project initiatives
  • Strong requirements gathering, business process analysis, testing, and implementation experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing projects
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply complex technical and procedural information
  • Experience training business partners and team members on Workday functionality
  • GEICO will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization
  • Preferred: Workday Talent Pro Certification
  • Preferred: Experience with Workday Talent Optimization
  • Preferred: Experience partnering with Human Resources and Finance organizations on enterprise-wide initiatives
