About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute manual and automated testing across Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
- Validate user stories, business requirements, and acceptance criteria
- Test system enhancements, configuration changes, and new product features before production release
- Identify, document, track, and communicate defects, missed requirements, and business process gaps
- Analyze test results and recommend improvements to quality and risk reduction
- Design, execute, and maintain automated test suites for regression, pipeline, and end-to-end testing
- Participate in developing and enhancing automation frameworks and testing processes
- Maintain and optimize automated testing solutions to maximize coverage
- Support the transition from manual testing to automation-first practices
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business teams throughout the software development lifecycle
- Participate in BDD and TDD practices
- Coordinate and lead testing efforts across projects while tracking progress and deliverables
- Advise stakeholders on testing risks, potential impacts, and quality considerations
- Research new technologies, testing techniques, and industry best practices
- Participate in resolving testing issues and production concerns
- Promote quality-focused practices and evolve testing methodologies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with software testing and quality assurance practices
- Experience executing and maintaining automated testing solutions
- Knowledge of Agile and/or Waterfall software development methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to learn and apply complex technical and procedural information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
- 2+ years of software testing experience
- 1+ year of insurance-based experience in any role
- Experience with test automation, including regression and pipeline testing
- Exposure to Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Familiarity with business process analysis and technical testing concepts
- ASTQB Foundation Testing Certification or ability to obtain certification within twelve months of hire
