About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design high-quality customer-centered solutions that advance business goals
- Use AI-assisted workflows and rapid prototyping to explore, validate, and ship solutions
- Collaborate with product management, business, engineering, and research teams
- Build functional prototypes and experimental interfaces to test and de-risk concepts before production
- Uncover customer and business needs
- Translate complex AI-driven and data-informed concepts into understandable product experiences
- Apply knowledge of AI and generative AI to design solutions
- Advocate for responsible and ethical AI in products and experiences
- Provide direction on product prioritization and support early product definition
- Advocate for customers through discovery, research, and user testing
- Facilitate and participate in stakeholder workshops
- Create process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and UI specifications
- Deliver design assets for acceptance, development, and market delivery in partnership with engineering
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience with User Experience design, or 3+ years with a Master’s degree
- Experience designing for cross channel, including responsive web and native mobile interfaces
- Ability to work across user research, user experience design, UI design, and specifications
- Experience incorporating AI tools or AI-assisted workflows into design practice
- Solid knowledge of AI, ML, and generative AI capabilities and their application to product design
- Ability to design, test, and demonstrate responsible AI interaction patterns through clickable or conversational prototypes
- Ability to collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations teams
- Effective communication and storytelling skills
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma and AI-assisted design tools
- Familiarity with established design systems and agile development teams
- Must be able to work on-site 2–3 days a week at Bethesda, MD; Seattle, WA; or Palo Alto, CA
