About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, maintain, and evolve the framework for managing the cybersecurity portfolio
  • Ensure alignment between portfolio investments and strategic objectives
  • Establish and track KPIs for portfolio health, value delivery, and risk
  • Develop and present reports and dashboards to senior leadership
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks and dependencies across the portfolio
  • Develop mitigation strategies and escalate critical issues as needed
  • Oversee portfolio budgets, track financial performance, and support ROI analysis
  • Define, implement, and continuously improve portfolio management processes, standards, and governance structures
  • Engage and communicate with senior leaders, project managers, technology and product owners, and other stakeholders regarding portfolio status, decisions, and performance
  • Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and management of cybersecurity technology programs and projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, partners, and stakeholders to deliver cybersecurity programs and solutions aligned with business goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience managing complex portfolios of projects or products, including prioritization, resource allocation, risk management, and performance tracking
  • Demonstrated ability to operate strategically and influence senior-level leadership and key stakeholders
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management and ROI analysis within a portfolio context
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information and create compelling executive-level presentations
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to details, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with NIST, ISO, NYDFS, PCI, FFIEC, NAIC and other relevant regulations and standards
  • 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity in insurance industry or related field (finance, or other highly regulated industries)
  • 7+ years of experience in technology portfolio, program, and project management
  • 7+ years of experience with agile development and strategic planning
  • 5+ years of experience in stakeholder or partner management
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
