About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own technical strategy for demand-side delivery across the partner portfolio
  • Set standards adopted across Forward Deployed Engineering and Solutions Engineering
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and delivery practices with managers and cross-functional leaders
  • Lead complex, ambiguous, or new-vertical integrations end to end
  • Turn bespoke builds into repeatable solutions, including shared modules, templates, and runbooks
  • Architect and govern AI-native engineering practices, including code-generation pipelines, mapping automation, test-scaffolding agents, and human-review gates
  • Mentor Forward Deployed Engineers through design and code reviews
  • Drive Product and Engineering feedback loops to reduce future bespoke work
  • Lead technical working sessions with partner engineering teams for critical integrations and hosted experiences
  • Collaborate with partner engineering teams, Backend and Frontend Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Product, and commercial stakeholders
  • Participate in an online technical test, TA call, virtual live coding, and final hiring-manager interview

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of experience, including time in a senior or staff-level integration, platform, or forward-deployed engineering role
  • People leadership or strong informal team leadership experience preferred
  • Production-quality coding in Scala and/or Python
  • Working comfort in Node.js/TypeScript for SDKs and tooling
  • Deep REST/JSON API expertise, including authentication, idempotency, schema evolution, versioning, monitoring, and incident response
  • Track record of building reusable architecture, tooling, or playbooks that scaled a team’s output without proportional headcount growth
  • Experience using AI-native workflows and tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot
  • Ability to facilitate technical working sessions directly with partner engineering teams
  • Ability to recognize patterns and turn novel solutions into repeatable practices
  • Ability to take ownership of complex, ambiguous work while balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution
  • Ability to build trust and credibility across partner, Product, Engineering, Solutions Engineering, and commercial teams
  • Commitment to mentoring colleagues through design feedback and code review
  • Ability to work from the New York office about three days per week
  • Must answer employment visa sponsorship question for the country in which the job is located
