About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with a cross-functional team to plan and develop new features for the MoneyLion mobile app
  • Gather business requirements and suggest appropriate technical solutions
  • Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
  • Support the QA team with testing and debugging
  • Troubleshoot and debug app issues
  • Continuously improve code for optimal feature performance
  • Stay current with design patterns and share knowledge with the team
  • Collaborate with design, product and engineering teams to ensure a holistic user experience and maintain a solid platform foundation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • Experience building mobile applications using React Native or Native
  • Experience building NodeJS applications (server-side)
  • Experience with JavaScript; TypeScript is a plus
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
  • Familiarity with software product design lifecycles
  • Functional Programming familiarity is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to perform in a team environment
  • BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field
  • Ability to work from one of Gen's offices at least three days per week
