About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Architect and deploy solutions using Splunk and Palo Alto
  • Lead integration of Splunk SOAR with Splunk SIEM, Palo Alto, EDRs such as CrowdStrike, and ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow
  • Integrate Gigamon and ExtraHop visibility solutions for deep packet inspection, flow mapping, and toolchain optimization with Splunk
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and enforce security controls aligned with NIST, FedRAMP, and customer Enterprise Log Management standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and provide escalation support for infrastructure-related incidents
  • Coach and mentor junior team members
  • Convey technical and architectural information to customers and customer support towers
  • Work independently under limited supervision

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience supporting complex IT cybersecurity infrastructure
  • 5+ years of experience deploying and architecting Splunk in a distributed implementation
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience deploying and architecting cybersecurity solutions, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, web content filtering, network forensics, and firewall management
  • Proficiency with Splunk Cloud, Splunk ES, Splunk SOAR, and Splunk UBA
  • Experience with secure remote access, cloud migration, load balancing, and traffic visibility platforms
  • Required Splunk Certified Architect certification
  • Preferred Splunk Core Consultant, Splunk Advanced Power User, Splunk Cloud Admin, Palo Alto Networks PCNSE, or equivalent certifications
  • No security clearance required; selected candidate subject to a security investigation
  • US citizenship not required
  • Less than 10% travel required
  • Ability to work remotely
