About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, manage, and support the customer’s cyber tool stack and implement defensive rules
  • Collaborate with government agencies to record and prepare incident reports, analysis methodology, and results
  • Provide insight to Detection and Response teams on signature functionality
  • Tune signatures as needed
  • Monitor and analyze IDS/IPS signature alerts for false positives
  • Create Splunk dashboards
  • Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff
  • Use Splunk, Snort signatures, Regular Expressions, Suricata, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Fidelis
  • Apply advanced data analytics tools and techniques

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance must currently be possessed
  • Able to obtain Top Secret SCI + Polygraph
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • BS Degree or equivalent experience
  • US citizenship required
  • Experience with Cyber Defense, Data Analysis, and Information Assurance
  • Experience with Perl Compatible Regular Expressions (PCRE)
  • Experience authoring Yara rules and Snort signatures
  • Experience using Splunk, SQL, Python, and statistical modeling
  • Experience with Suricata, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Fidelis
  • Experience with Snort signatures and Regular Expressions
  • Work performed directly at customer site
  • Less than 10% travel required
